Mary
McClelland, California, USA |
Miss Mary Mc
Clelland from California, USA was honored by Tourism Corporation
Bonaire with a special Recognition as a Time Share Owner
at Lions Dive Resort. Since 1986 Ms. Mc Clelland has been
coming to Bonaire.
When we asked her why Bonaire is so special so told us the
following:
"To the house of friend, the road is never long."
Although it takes, literally, 24 hours to reach Bonaire
from California, the time flies by, as I embrace the opportunity
to visit "Bonaire Island Friends" who have become
my family.
I have been coming to Bonaire since 1986. My very first
trip was with our local YMCA's Scuba Diving Club, the San
Jose Flipper Dippers from San Jose, California, USA. My
visit nestled in my heart and awakened a deep appreciation
for the "Natural Beauty" and the "Global
Family" that is housed on this "Island and Diver's
Paradise."
Then my children, Scott and Margareth, turned 18 years old,
they each received a passport for their birthday. Then they
graduated from High School, a visit to Bonaire was their
first International Adventure, to witness the Blessings
of "Diversity in Harmony." The multicultural wealth
has enriched all of our lives.
Bonaire is a microcosm of the World. The beauty and diversity
in the sea remind us that there is so much wealth around
us. To see the world with "New Eyes" enlivens
the Spirit! On the island of Bonaire an overarching serenity
prevails..... a peacefulness in the Mind of God.
I am well blessed to call Bonaire "my island home."
Thank you to all of you who have welcomed me and shared
from your hearts that which you hold as Precious.
When I am out in the world, I share my love of Bonaire,
so that others may choose to experience - A Gift Beyond
Measure!
Mere words cannot express the depth of my Love for Bonaire.
John Muir once said, "We must have places to play in
and pray in, places that nourish body and soul alike."
Bonaire is a place that fills the heart, as I know it will
for many generations to come.

Anny,
Louis, & Ashley Biosca and Jeanne Cummings, Maryland,
USA |
On August 15th,
2003, the Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), together with
Mr. Serge de Groot, the Dive Shop Manager of Divi
Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino, surprised Anny,
Louis & Ashley Biosca and Jeanne Cummings with a Special
Recognition Award. As timeshare owners, they do not qualify
for Ambassador Awards, and therefore, Mr. de Groot wished
to do something special for them to recognize their continued
loyalty to Bonaire.
Mr. Louis Biosca, from Maryland, USA, has been coming to
Bonaire since 1986. He has always been joined by his dive
buddy, Ms. Jeanne Cummings, who is from New York, USA.
Mrs. Anny Biosca, Louis' wife, came along with them every
single year, too! Anny is a avid snorkeler and these days
she goes snorkeling with their granddaughter Ashley, who
is now 12 years old. Ashley's first trip to Bonaire was
when she was 6 months old!
In the accompanying picture Serge de Groot celebreates together
with the family Biosca and Ms. Jeanne Cummings.

to Bonaire year after year. We want to let
them know how special they are to us and that
with this recognition we are making them our
unofficial ambassadors! In this way we hope
that they will share the warmth and hospitability
they have found here with their friends and
family by bringing them along on their next
vacation to Bonaire! |
